Continuing Education

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CLOUDCME USERS!

Starting Monday, November 25, 2024, the Center for Educational Excellence & Innovation (CEEI) will begin a phased transition from CloudCME to a new, self-hosted continuing education credit and course management platform. This change will provide enhanced flexibility and a better experience for both learners and providers. All live courses and regularly scheduled series will be transitioned, and existing CloudCME user accounts will be migrated to the new platform. We are committed to keeping you updated throughout this migration and to ensuring minimal interruption. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we make this transition. If you have any questions, concerns, or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at cmedepartment@childrens.harvard.edu. Please check back regularly for information specific to these roles:

When will the transition take place?

Phase 1: Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) Transfer:

  • 11/25-11/26/2024:
    • Planned downtime for texting. An alternate QR code based system will be shared in coming weeks to supplement this downtime and claim credits
  • 11/27/2024:
    • We will provide new text ID numbers and a phone number for all RSS courses, including grand rounds, case conferences, M&Ms, journal clubs, and tumor boards.
    • Individualized emails will be sent to all course directors and coordinators with your new text ID and contact information for communicating with learners.
  • 11/28/2024 and beyond:
    • All RSS activity on the CEEI earning platform
  • Our team will be available during the initial weeks of the transition to assist with any troubleshooting or testing related to these courses, ensuring ongoing support throughout the process.

Phase 2: Live Course Transfer:

  • 12/5/2024:
    • All pre-existing CloudCME course URL’s will redirect to their corresponding CEEI learning platform page.
    • All new course pages and registrations will be created on the CEEI learning platform.

Phase 3: User Data: Transcripts, Receipts, and Registrations

  • 12/5/2024
    • CloudCME will be shut down at 5pm EST, and users will not be able to access profile data including transcripts, receipts and registrations.
  • 12/6/2024
    • Transcript, Receipts and Registrations available on the CEEI learning platform

How do I access the new platform?

If you have a current account on CloudCME, your account will be transferred to the new platform. Upon first logging in to the new platform, you will be prompted to reset your password and make any necessary changes to your profile data. The URL for the new platform will be sent to users via email. CloudCME will also redirect users to the new platform.

How do I access my transcripts?

Your transcripts will be available on CloudCME until December 5th. After December 5th you will access and download your transcripts from the new CEEI learning platform.

What will change for RSS attendees?

Beginning Wednesday, 11/27/2024 we will implement new text ID numbers and a phone number for all RSS courses, including grand rounds, case conferences, M&Ms, journal clubs, and tumor boards. Individualized emails will be sent to all course directors and coordinators with the new text ID and phone number. There will also be some scheduled downtime on Monday, 11/25/2024 and Tuesday, 11/26/2024. Please be on the lookout for a QR code system to track attendance for those two days.

What will change for live courses?

Other than the URL for the site (to come later), not much! Starting December 5th, you will register for live conferences on the new platform in much the same way you have always.
